Three Biggest Mistakes I Made On My Own Healing Journey

### *The 3 Biggest Mistakes I Ever Made in My Healing Journey*

The three biggest mistakes I ever made in my own healing journey were the very things that shaped my understanding of what true healing actually is.

They were the ways I learned that control and healing cannot coexist.

### **1. I kept chasing diagnosis.**

I wanted a name for my pain — a reason my body was “underperforming.”

If I could just identify *why*, I thought I could finally fix her.

The truth, if I’m honest, was that I wanted to know *why I was gaining weight.*

Why I couldn’t keep it off.

Why it all felt so unfair.

So I chased it.

I did endless labs — thyroid, adrenals, liver pathways, candida, heavy metals.

Every new test was another hope that the mystery would finally be solved.

But it never was.

Because the truth wasn’t hidden in my bloodwork.

The truth was in my body.

And she was never broken — she was *protecting me*.

Every dysfunction, every symptom, was a downstream effect of one thing:

disconnection.

I was out of relationship with her — demanding she change, perform, and comply without ever listening to what she was trying to say.

When I stopped the chase and turned toward her with reverence instead of suspicion, everything began to shift.

### **2. I blamed food.**

I thought food was the problem.

So I made it my obsession.

Keto, raw vegan, carnivore, paleo, CrossFit keto — I did them all.

And yes, some “worked” for a while.

But none of them ever brought peace.

Because food was never the enemy.

There are no good foods or bad foods.

There is only frequency — and our bodies have preferences.

Just like you might crave jazz one day and silence the next, your body’s appetite for certain foods will change with her needs, her season, her healing.

But we’ve become so disconnected from her language that we made food a moral issue.

We called some things “clean” and others “toxic,” as if the problem were external.

When really, the disconnection was internal.

When I began listening to her frequency instead of controlling it, I discovered how peaceful eating could be — how deeply healing nourishment becomes when it’s chosen in partnership rather than punishment.

### **3. I tried to fix everything with supplements + herbs.**

For a long time, I treated herbs and supplements like soldiers — the tools that would finally bring my body into line.

I took them to *control* outcomes, not to support communication.

I expected them to fix what I wasn’t yet willing to feel.

One example: my sleep.

For decades I woke often at night, urinating constantly, never fully resting.

I tried everything — Chinese herbs, supplements, homeopathy — and nothing worked.

Until one day I stopped trying to control the symptom and started listening to what my body was really asking for.

I began tending to my *inner alchemy* with devotion — not analysis.

And almost overnight, the pattern shifted.

After decades of trying, it was *relationship* that changed everything.

### **The thread that ties them all together: control.**

Every one of those mistakes was rooted in control — and control, no matter how well-intentioned, is always born from fear.

Control says, *“I don’t trust my body. I need to fix her.”*

But control shuts down the flow of life itself.

You can force results for a while — the labs might improve, the diet might “work” — but it always collapses.

Because control is unsustainable.

It’s a rebellion against the divine intelligence that animates you.

### **The Alchemical Path: Partnership.**

There is another way.

It’s the path of partnership — the alchemical path of awakening to your body’s innate wisdom.

It’s not about controlling outcomes.

It’s about cultivating relationship.

It’s about devotion to the truth that your body is not your enemy — she is your greatest ally and teacher.

And when you meet her there — with reverence instead of resistance — healing becomes something altogether different: graceful, intelligent, whole.

I’ve walked both paths.

I know which one leads to freedom.

And now I get to walk beside women who are reclaiming their own alchemy — women reversing autoimmune disease, regrowing thyroid tissue, releasing lifelong anxiety, coming into remission — not by controlling their bodies, but by *partnering* with them.

This is what we do in my world.

If you’re ready to walk that path, comment **alchemy** or message me for a free call.

Your body is ready to be in relationship with you.

Are you ready to listen?

**Control never heals. Partnership does.**
