I can't tell you the number of times that I've spoken to a woman who has just an absolutely beautiful dream, you know, opening a custom boutique filled with beautiful things, teaching English as a second language, writing a book, traveling the world, doing photography, taking their kids on a trip of a lifetime, quitting their day job, opening their dream business.
Over and over and over, I hear these amazing dreams of women, dreams that have been on their heart for so long, dreams of expansion, dreams of living out their full best possible reality. They're heartfelt desires, deepening their relationship with everything they've ever loved.
It’s no wonder I see these dreams start to manifest in the women that I work with, I see them start to grow in relationship with what they most love and most want, I watch their lives expand.
But, in my conversations, I also see a lot of women hold those dreams and then step back into the shadows, succumbing to exhaustion and wear down and honestly being so accustomed to not thriving the thought of achievement sounds impossible.
Truth is, ladies, you don't fuel dreams off of exhaustion. Being exhausted is the indication that reserves have been already used...and I will tell you from experience, dreams are fueled by having enough in the tank to get you all the way there.
You want to start a business? Great. That's at least a five-year proposition to get to a level place. How do you do that from an exhausted state?
You want to travel the world? Awesome. How do you do that from an exhausted state?
What I see every day is people dipping their toe in the pond of their dreams and then settling back into their armchair to look at their phone, to shop on Amazon, to check Facebook, to watch the news.
How do we live out our dreams if we don't fuel them with something? Well, a little truth here...the fuel comes from inside the cell, it isn't just the fantasy or the vision, it is the ability to enact the steps that get us there.
We don't even come close to the ability to enact the steps from place of being burned out and worn down. Sadly, we're so good at visioning as humans that we step into that place of vision and we think, no, I'll probably be able to do it...but here's what I know from watching the path of how human health intersects with our dreams and visions over the last 20 years: 80 percent of people will hold the dream and never the reality because they didn't fuel it properly.
Every person I know that has a vast success...and I don’t only mean financial, those who are truly deeply, joyfully on purpose, living at their genius, they didn't operate only from the mind.
They recognized that to get what you most want, you have to work with the body.
That passion and passionate purpose is a vehicle driven from the deep recesses of ourselves, from our organ systems, hormonal systems, nervous system, digestive system, even from our bones and muscle.
Every one of the people that have ever inspired me to understand what this meant, always, always worked from the body outwards... that tells you something, every self-help book that says that you can just imagine and it will come, is leaving out the most important step which is nourish it from inside of you at a tangible, physical level.
So if you have big dreams, you should ask yourself, am I willing to feed my body to fuel my dreams? Am I willing to repair the cells? Am I willing to turn off the alarm responses?
Those alarm responses especially...because you can not fuel dreams based on alarm and there are more references for alarm at this world than there are for vital, vibrant living. So it takes something exceptional to turn off the alarm responses and fuel the dreams for real.
So ask yourself, am I really willing to do that? Do my dreams matter so much to me that I will finally put the fuel in place to allow it to happen?
Or am I content having a vision but no reality?
If it pains you in your gut or in your chest, if your muscles get tight at the thought of missing out on that dream, it's likely time for us to talk because what I know is, vitality is the fuel for our best possible existence, but like every teacher I've ever had living out their dreams in the biggest way, I know it has to be fueled from the cell and the mind and the emotions and the spirit cohesively all at once.
Without this, we often languish in a middle ground of not quite there for the rest of our life. And I don't know about you, but I didn't come here for not quite there.
If you have a big dream that needs fueling, and your body, energy, pain, mood, and/or health is holding you back, set up a call with us and let’s see IF we can help.
Blessings!
